Cole-Parmer® Gravity and Mechanical Convection Incubators
The ColeParmer mechanical convection incubators feature a corrosion-resistant stainless steel interior and powder-coated steel plate exterior. The inner chamber has rounded corners for easy cleaning. Antiskid shelf design is easy to operate with a single hand. Each incubator includes stainless steel wire shelves with mounting brackets. Glass windows and doors avoid unnecessary heat dissipation and temperature changes when samples need to be viewed. The smaller units have a large observation window built into the door while the larger units have a glass inner door and solid outer door.
Multiple safety features include temperature deviation alarm, overtemperature set point alarm, overcurrent protection, and auto-start after power loss/return. Gravity convection allows heat to fill the chamber naturally, providing a lower chance of cross-contamination between samples. Plus, the gentle, natural air circulation does not stress the cultures and allows for a more uniform growth. Mechanical convection circulates heat to all levels of the chamber for more efficient heat distribution. These units offer faster heat up and better temperature uniformity due to the constant circulation of forced air.
